Since we started our work in 2008 we have rescued an average of 500 - 700 animals per year and successfully released over 40% of them back into their natural habitat.

How you can help

Visit our Center
Tour the Center! We are happy to show you around the Rescue Center and introduce you to our animals and dedicated volunteers. When you tour with us you are supporting our day-to-day operations and animal rescue efforts. The proceeds from tours are used to provide food, medicine and shelter for the animals in the center.

Support us financially
We depend heavily on our international community of friends to support our projects. Financial donations are used to fund the mission of rescuing and rehabilitating animals. Because of your generosity, we are able buy much needed medical equipment in order to provide a high level of treatment and perform research that not only benefits the animals in our care but animals all over Costa Rica.

Volunteer with us
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the Jaguar Rescue Center. It is because of their direct efforts that we are able to help so many ill, injured and orphaned animals. And in return, the volunteers are privy to personal, one-on-one experiences with our animals in their natural environment.

Stay with us
When you decide to stay with us you are making a contribution to the important work of protecting and rehabilitating wild animals here in Costa Rica. The homes are located in our nature reserve, La Ceiba, where the animal release stage of our wildlife rehabilitation process takes place. Enjoy a relaxing stay in the jungle will supporting the beautiful animals that make this place so special.

Adopt an animal
Each animal rehabilitated in the rescue center, comes with a large expense, which can at times be difficult for us to cover. When you choose to make a symbolic adoption of one of our animals, you are helping to cover part of the expenses incurred and support the rescue and rehabilitation process.

Jaguar Rescue Center

Our nursery in Cocles Beach, about 4 miles from the center of Puerto Viejo. The JRC is the location of the clinic and nursery, where animals are first brought for treatment, rehabilitation and love. It is here where the animals are cared for, and brought back to health so they can be released back to their homes in the jungle.
