CORPORATE CULTURE

OBJECT
The Code of Ethics of the Jaguar Rescue Center aims to define the guidelines that should guide both the conduct of our company and that of our employees and collaborators. The objective is to guarantee an ethical and responsible behavior in the development of our activities.

GUIDELINES OF CONDUCT

Our code of ethics is based on our Mission, Vision and Values that are intrinsically linked to the conservation of the fauna and habitat of the South Caribbean zone in Costa Rica, as well as to the dissemination of environmental awareness among our supporters.

INTERNAL COMPROMISE

CONFLICT OF INTERESTS
All personnel linked to the Center have the obligation to act giving priority to the interests of the organization in the face of personal or third party interests.
Our collaborators must avoid the delivery or reception of gifts, favors or benefits that condition commercial relationships with third parties.
Under no circumstances will company funds be used for particular purposes.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Never use for private purposes or transmit to others any type of information belonging to the Center (brands, methodologies, technologies, audiovisual materials, etc.)

USE OF RESOURCES AND ASSETS

The Center provides all its personnel and collaborators with the necessary resources to carry out their professional work. Due to this it is necessary that all of them use the resources of the company only for professional purposes and in a responsible, efficient and adequate manner.

REJECTION TO CORRUPTION

Under no circumstances should you solicit, offer or accept bribes or gratuities of any kind.

PUBLIC DECLARATIONS

The representation of the Center before the media and at public events will always be agreed with the management, who must give their authorization.
The information displayed on our official channels (website, Facebook page and Instagram, Tripadvisor) must always follow the criteria of truthfulness, style and quality established in the manual for the use of digital media.

PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES

The use of alcohol, drugs or other substances in the workplace is totally prohibited. Likewise it is forbidden that the personnel representing the company can be found under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

TRAINING

Human resources are paramount in the philosophy of service and pursuit of excellence that characterizes our organization. For this reason, we promote the training and professional development of all our personnel, both those who are on staff and collaborators and volunteers.

COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

COLLABORATION WITH THE COMMUNITY AND LOCAL INSTITUTIONS
We seek to promote sustainable economic development and the dissemination of cultural diversity in the South Caribbean zone. Therefore, we commit ourselves to:
• Encourage the employment of local workers, especially indigenous minorities.
• Use quality local providers whenever possible.
• Promote the esteem and knowledge of the fauna and environment among the inhabitants of the area.
• Collaborate with the different administrations and institutions in all types of initiatives and actions that promote social cohesion and the improvement of the living conditions of the local population.

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

Our goal is to achieve sustainable tourism in the development of activities aimed at the public. For this we must combine the visits necessary to finance the operation of our organization with the conservation of nature, the rational use of natural resources and always privilege the welfare of the animals that are in our facilities.

AREA OF APPLICATION

Our code of ethics must be assumed by all the people employed in the Center as well as by all collaborators and volunteers.
