Shock Free Zone

Since the beginning of 2022, we have detected 21 locations where animals have been electrocuted; 15 of these have been insulated, and the remaining will be insulated before the end of the year.

To prevent animals from being electrocuted, we have our program Shock-Free Zone, which we have run in collaboration with the Grupo ICE (Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad) for the past 12 years.

Thanks to the donations through the Shock-Free Zone, in the last two weeks of September, we were able to insulate 12 transformers and 1 wildlife canopy bridge.

We'd like to thank ICE for donating their time and helping us help them.
