Three weeks ago a juvenile green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) was brough to the JRC after being found by coast guards on the beach in Limon, Costa Rica. This turtle was confiscated by the coast guards, who also helped to transport it to the JRC.

Brought by the coast guards; this hawksbill sea turtle came very weakly and suffers from a harpoon wound in her shell. Also, she had wounds in her fins because the people who harpooned her tied them, so she couldn´t move.

On June 29 this Hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) was brought to the JRC from Cieneguita. This turtle was confiscated by the coast guards, who also helped to transport it to the JRC.
